Are Golfers Spending As Much On Pro Shop/Food And Beverage As They Normally Would?

August 8, 2022 By Ian Hutchinson

Last week, the majority of respondents to the GNN Poll said that July rounds were down compared to the same month last year, which shouldn’t come as a surprise with inflation and rising interest rates putting a strain on the finances of many people.

Golfers don’t usually quit the game in tough times, but they might play less of it and when they’re at the golf course, they might think twice about purchasing that burger and beer on the patio, or that shirt in the pro shop.

Is that the case at the golf operation where you work? Are your members/clients spending as much this year in the pro shop/food and beverage as they normally would in other years?

That’s the question in this week’s GNN Poll.

You can answer below or on the GNN home page and if you’d like to add a few thoughts on this subject, please use the Comments section below.

Are your members/clients spending as much this year in the pro shop/food and beverage as they normally would in other years?

  • No (54%)
  • Yes (46%)

Thank-you.
