Last week’s GNN Poll asked readers about the rounds they put through in August at the golf operations where they work, compared to the same month in 2020.
The majority of respondents said their rounds were better than last year.
Our first priority is our members/paying customers, so a busy operation is a good problem to have, if we can call it a problem at all.
Let’s admit it though. Those fairways and greens that we look at on a regular basis are tempting to us in the industry too and why wouldn’t they be? Love of the game is why many of us are in the industry and if we’re selling or teaching golf, doesn’t it make sense that we keep our skills sharp?
Yet, with participation climbing during the COVID-19 pandemic and other matters to deal with, it often seems as if there are fewer hours than there used to be in which to play.
So, we’re wondering, as somebody in the golf industry, did you play less, more or the same number of rounds in 2021 as you would in a normal year?
That’s the question in this week’s GNN Poll.
