Golf Canada Being Mysterious About Announcement, But Here’s A Possibility

July 13, 2022 By Ian Hutchinson

Golf Canada has called a press conference for next Wednesday at an as yet undisclosed venue in the Greater Toronto Area for what it is calling a “significant announcement for golf in Canada.”

With golf on the agenda that day, it seems safe to say that the undisclosed venue is a golf course, but Golf Canada has details about the location under lock and key for now.

If that golf course is TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley in Caledon, northwest of the city, it could shed some light on what will be announced, which is also in the Golf Canada vault for now.

TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley is a property that has been rumoured to be the next home of Golf Canada and the presser is being held the day before PGA Tour Canada’s Osprey Valley Open gets underway there, so the timing is perfect for such an announcement.

It also wouldn’t be a surprise if a future RBC Canadian Open or more was also announced for TPC Toronto on Wednesday.

We’ll have to wait until then to find out officially, but we could receive a hint in the days leading up to the announcement.
