Last week’s GNN Poll asked readers if they expected hiring at golf businesses to get more difficult each year due to the aging population and the majority said yes.
The reason we asked that question was a Statistics Canada report that more than one in five or 21.8 per cent of working Canadians are aged 55 to 64 and there are currently seven million people, or 19 per cent of the population, age 65 and over.
You can read that report here.
We’d like to find out now if the golf industry’s numbers are comparable to the general population and see how close readers are to retiring themselves.
As it stands now, how close are you to retiring from the golf industry? Within five years? Six to 10 years? Eleven to 15 years? More than 15 years?
That’s the question in this week’s GNN Poll.
