With tee times being taken quickly since golf courses began opening after the season was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, those who work in the industry are being kept especially busy in this summer like no other.
The pandemic and ensuing break also caused several businesses to be short staffed, although in a recent GNN Poll, 59 per cent of respondents felt the golf operations where they work might bring back more staff than anticipated due to the increased business since opening.
A busy schedule and fewer tee times available to staff members could mean that those in the industry are playing less golf than they normally would at this time of year in any other season. If you’re a competitive player, so many tournaments have been cancelled or postponed due to the pandemic.
How about you?
Are you playing more, the same or less golf than you normally would at this time of year? That’s the question for this week’s GNN Poll.
You can answer below or on the GNN home page and if you’d like to add a few thoughts on this subject, please use the Comments section below.
