With the calendar flipping to September last week, the end of the golf season draws closer, but there are plenty of warm days ahead before the industry in Canada begins putting its courses to bed for the winter.
The question coming into this season was whether golf operations could keep up the pace of 2020 when the game was one of the few choices for recreation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A month ago in the GNN poll, readers were asked to describe the number of rounds put through in July at the golf operations where they work as opposed to the same month in 2020.
The majority, or 35 per cent of respondents said the number of rounds were down, 30 per cent said they were the same, 19 per cent said better and 16 per cent said much better
Since the calendar has been turned to a new month, it’s time for an update.
How would you describe the number of rounds put through in August at the golf operation where you work as opposed to the same month in 2020?
