If It’s Left Up To You, Would You Rather Keep The Mask Indoors Or Lose It?

February 13, 2022 By Ian Hutchinson

Those who responded yes were the slight majority in last week’s GNN Poll that asked readers if they think masks will no longer be deemed mandatory indoors by government or their employer where they work by the end of the summer.

If you look at the way provinces are moving in easing COVID-19 restrictions, it certainly does seem likely that the masks will be off by September, if not earlier, unless there’s another surge that sends hospital and ICU admissions soaring once again.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned about COVID, it’s that we never know what’s lurking in the near future. We’ve been down this road before in previous waves only to have a variant force us back into lockdowns and restrictions.

There are some who believe governments are moving too fast in easing restrictions and those who say they’re not acting quickly enough, that we’re going to have to learn to live with COVID just as we have with the flu.

If all of those restrictions are lifted and the masks can come off, would you prefer to keep wearing a mask indoors where you work?

That’s the question in this week’s poll.

You can answer below or on the GNN home page and if you’d like to add a few thoughts on this subject, please use the Comments section below.

If government and employers allow masks to come off this year, would you prefer to keep wearing one indoors at the golf business where you work?

  • No. (57%)
  • Yes (43%)

Thank-you.
