With another year drawing to a close, the holiday season offers time for us to spend time with family and friends, certainly more time than last year when people were more isolated as society came to grips with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since then, most of us have been vaccinated, double vaccinated and, in many cases, received booster shots or are about to get a third jab.
We’re breathing a little easier about COVID these days, but we’re far from the end of the pandemic, with the Delta variant still a big concern and the Omicron variant still a mystery.
From a business perspective, this comes after a year in which Ontario golf courses had to shut down as that province dealt with COVID earlier this year and British Columbia experienced record heat, wildfires and recent flooding.
It was also a year in which inflation, labour shortages and supply chain disruptions threaten to carry over into 2022.
Many believed at the beginning of 2021 that it would be a less stressful year from a business point of view compared to 2020. Did it turn out that way?
That’s the GNN Poll question of the week.
You can answer below or on the GNN home page and if you’d like to add a few thoughts on this subject, please use the Comments section below.
This will be our final poll of the year as we take our traditional December holiday break. Of course, we’re on standby if there is any breaking news for readers of GNN, which will resume full operations in early January.
In the meantime, we wish all readers, advertisers and GNN contributors the best of the season.
