Normally, as we come out of the holidays, my focus is on the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, but such is not the case this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, so no need for last-minute preparations before departing.
Instead, the Orlando show will be a virtual affair, Jan. 26-29. PGA and LPGA members can register here.
The upcoming Canadian Golf Management Course Conference will also be a virtual affair, as were many of the fall buying shows that are behind us now.
The inaugural Canadian Golf Industry Show, scheduled for November in Vancouver, was also postponed due to coronavirus concerns.
That show would have brought together the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association, PGA of Canada and National Golf Course Owners Association Canada in three simultaneous conferences with certain shared content and social activities.
A combined trade show consisting of suppliers from each sector is also a highlight of this new event, whenever it’s launched.
When will that be? That’s the topic of the first GNN Poll question of the year.
Do you think we’ll be attending trade shows/conferences in person by October of this year?
