Conferences Receiving Positive Feedback From Around The Globe

December 6, 2018 By Kevin Thistle

Last week’s Tee Talks Live and National Teaching and Coaching Conference in Mississauga will be remembered around the world.

We had people from Peru, South Africa, England, Ireland, Brazil and the United States and every province in Canada was represented.

Over the four days, we had speakers such as Cameron McCormick, who coaches Jordan Spieth, and Canadian broadcasting icon Brian Williams. I’ve received several e-mails since it ended, including some from people in the United Kingdom who said they’ve been all over the world at conferences and it was best lineup of speakers they had ever seen.

Glenn Cundari and our chief innovation officer Matt Allen put that lineup together and it’s one that I expect will keep people coming back. They may tell 10 people and that will result in bigger numbers as we go forward.

We work with PGAs around the world and send them information, which they relay to their members. The PGA of Canada is well-respected for its education programs, which draws people in from other countries.

The value of attending Tee Talks Live and the National Teaching and Coaching Conference will only be enhanced when it joins forces with the Golf Business Canada Conference and Trade Show, held by the National Golf Course Owners Association, and the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association’s Golf Course Management Conference in future years.
