You’d Like To Believe Glorious Weather Will Stick Around, But It’s Likely More Of A Tease

February 10, 2016 By Kyle German

Monday was our Family Day here and we were treated to glorious sunshine and temperatures around 15 C. People were playing in short sleeves.

As we were closing Sunday night, we had about 50 people on the tee sheet and by early Monday, it was about 120.

Tuesday’s weather was almost identical to Monday, so we had two real tease days to put people in love with the idea of teeing it up.

Now, we’ve got a deluge.

Rain is what we’re used to at this time of year, but you get those days when you think you may be into something good as far as long stretches of glorious weather.

Last year was a strange one with the season pretty well in full swing by mid-March. It was the best spring any of us could remember, but that’s not the norm.

We like to think the Masters is the start of our season, but’s not in reality. Most years, we’re likely looking at a few weeks later than Augusta.

But as unpredictable as the weather has been, you never know, so maybe those few days of glorious weather were more than a tease after all.
