Callaway has introduced its new Epic Flash drivers and fairway woods and Epic Flash Sub Zero drivers/fairway woods, featuring Flash Face Technology.
Flash Face’s architecture was created by Artifcial Intelligence and Machine Learning, a feld of computer science that uses statistical techniques to give computer systems the ability to learn with data without being explicitly programmed.
Through Machine Learning, computers cycled through 15,000 face architecture iterations, learning from each one, before arriving at Flash Face. with its internal mapping consisting of dozens of subtle ripples flowing from heel to toe. These ripples work together cohesively to elevate COR in the face’s centre region for a signifcant ball speed boost leading to more distance.
The Epic Flash driver also incorporates Jailbreak technology to promote fast, face-wide speed. The two internal, hourglass-shaped Jailbreak bars connect the crown to the sole, stabilizing and stiffening those two parts at impact, allowing the face to take on greater impact load to generate faster ball speed.
A new lighter triaxial carbon fabric called T2C has a tighter weave, allowing the weight it saves to be redistributed within the head to raise MOI for more forgiveness on off-centre hits.
The Epic Flash driver also has adjustable perimeter weighting achieved through a sliding 16-gram weight that offers golfers the ability to easily promote draws, fades or a straighter fight.
Eric Flash Fairway Woods
The new Epic Flash fairway wood features the new Flash Face Technology and Jailbreak Technology, as well as a new, lighter OptiFit Hosel to make it simple for players to dial in easy launch and optimal fight.
Forged 455 Carpenter steel construction combines with Face Cup technology to promte fast ball speed across the face for distance on centre and off-centre hits.
