Cleveland Introduces Game Improvement Launcher XL HALO Irons

August 19, 2021 By GNN

Cleveland Golf has announced the new hybrid-style, game improvement Launcher XL HALO Irons.

The Launcher XL HALO Irons officially launch in North America on Aug. 20 for graphite irons and Sept. 17 for steel irons.

“From head to grip, Launcher XL HALO Irons just make golf easier and more fun,” said Brian Schielke, general manager at Cleveland Golf.

“Most of us don’t have much confidence standing 170 yards out with a long iron in hand and needing to carry a bunker to make the green, but with Launcher XL HALO, you’ll swing easier, feel confident and be shocked at how forgiving they are,” he added.

“These irons will become your go-to clubs,” he said.

The foundation of these new irons is the XL Head, designed to increase MOI for improved forgiveness and shots that launch higher. The Launcher XL HALO Irons feature a 17 per cent increase in MOI, compared to the previous generation of hybrid-irons.

For faster shots that travel far, a new MainFrame iron face was designed through Artificial Intelligence to enhance the club face. The variable thickness pattern is used to maximize COR/ball speed to help generate more distance.

Gliderails are used on the long irons to deliver enhanced turf interaction, while the mid-to-short irons feature a V-Shaped Sole to cut through the turf more effectively for cleaner contact.

Meanwhile, a new 8g weight placed inside the end of every grip delivers better balance, control, and a smoother swing without extra effort to help square up the ball at impact.

If precision is what is desired, Cleveland is offering a new Accuracy Build, a custom configuration that is half an inch shorter without counterbalancing to focus on maximum control.

The 4i-7i lofts have wider, flatter grooves, while the 8i-SW lofts have closely-spaced, deeper, and higher spinning wedge grooves.

MRSP for the seven-piece graphite set is $1,149.99 Cdn. and $999.99 for the seven-piece steel set.
