Cobra Golf has introduced its 2021 family of RADSPEED drivers, fairways and hybrids.
With its name inspired by its key technology, Radial Weighting, the entire line is aimed at maximizing performance for a full spectrum of players through enhanced weighting and an array of advanced technologies.
The design concept originated from a formula in engineering called Radius of Gyration, which is the distance from the club’s centre of gravity to each weight or technology location.
Cobra’s engineers discovered that by increasing the Radius of Gyration and the distance between the front and back weights, they could create a blend of fast ball speed, low spin and forgiveness in one driver.
Utilizing Radial Weighting, the weight is strategically positioned in each of the three new driver models, creating three distinct performances.
While distance is the No. 1 attribute desired by golfers, it can come in different forms, highlighted in Cobra’s new drivers, the RADSPEED for faster swingers who want distance through faster ball speeds, low spin and trajectory control, the RADSPEED XB for players who want distance through faster ball speeds and consistency across the face in the form forgiveness and stability, and the RADSPEED XD for golfers who want distance while reducing their slice or creating a draw.
RADSPEED Driver ($599.99)
The new RADSPEED driver is designed with a 460 c.c. traditional shape and forward-biased Radial Weighting to appeal to the better player seeking low spin, low launch and workability.
The chassis features 28 g positioned in the front (16 g of fixed weight and 12g adjustable weight) and an additional 10 g positioned in the back (8 g fixed weight,2 g adjustable weight) to create a balance of front and back weighting for speed and stability.
By pushing the weight as far forward and as far back as possible, Cobra engineers were able to design a driver capable of providing fast ball speed with forgiveness.
Using a lighter T-Bar Speed Chassis and a thinner Carbon Fibre Wrap Crown, engineers were able to save 13 g (7 g in the chassis/6 g in the carbon) that they could reposition forward to lower the CG to produce more speed.
Two adjustable weights in the front and back (12 g/2 g) allow players to fine-tune their desired launch and spin performance.
A final but very notable feature of the new RADSPEED driver is the CNC Milled Infinity Face, which requires about 25 minutes of milling for every clubface produced.
Cobra’s proprietary CNC milling process is a significant advancement over the traditional hand-polishing method and produces thickness and bulge and roll tolerances that are up to five times more precise.
This process enhances consistent performance on every driver, which delivers thinner faces for maximum ball speed and curvatures for forgiveness on off-centre hits.
RADSPEED XB (“Xtreme Back”) DRIVER ($599.99)
For players who want plenty of speed and distance, but value forgiveness and straight flight, the RADSPEED XB is the answer.
One of the two “Xtreme” versions in the RADSPEED lineup, the XB (Xtreme Back) features an oversized address profile that inspires confidence on the tee.
The 460 c.c. clubhead utilizes rear-biased Radial Weighting to deliver the fastest and straightest ball flight of the three models. The driver features 20 g positioned in the back (14 g of fixed weight, 6 g interchangeable weight), and 8 g of fixed weight in the front.
For golfers who preferred Cobra’s 2020 SPEEDZONE Xtreme driver, the RADSPEED XB delivers even more ball speed and lower spin, while maintaining that extreme stability.
Additional technologies featured in the XB driver and the rest of the RADSPEED drivers include, a titanium T-Bar Speed Chassis and Thin-Ply Carbon Fibre Crown, CNC Milled Infinity Face and Radial Weighting Technology.
RADSPEED XD (“Xtreme Draw”) DRIVER ($599.99)
The RADSPEED XD answers the need for a draw-biased, straight-neck driver.
The XD is Cobra’s longest and fastest draw-biased driver, designed to provide maximum distance and slice-fighting power.
This second “Xtreme” model features the same slightly oversized 460 c.c. profile as the XB, but with heel-biased Radial Weighting.
A total 10 g of fixed internal weight is positioned in the heel to enable easier face closure for straighter, draw-biased drives. Another 14 g is positioned in the back for forgiveness, while 8 g is positioned in the front to increase speed.
“Our new RADSPEED drivers represent a true breakthrough in performance,” said Tom Olsavsky, vice president of R&D for Cobra Golf.
“Our engineers have outdone themselves by pushing the Radius of Gyration to new levels and delivering three distinct drivers aimed at three different types of golfers. With the RADSPEED driver family, Cobra can truly offer optimized performance for everyone from tour players to weekend warriors and those who need help correcting a slice,” he said.

RADSPEED Fairways and Hybrids
Complementing the RADSPEED drivers are a full line up of RADSPEED fairway metals ($349.99 each).
Utilizing weight savings from a thinner Carbon Crown design, Cobra engineers were able to free up more discretionary weight to position it forward and increase ball speed.
Using strategic Radial Weighting in each model (RADSPEED, RADSPEED Big Tour and Tour, and RADSPEED Draw), Cobra engineers were able to create three distinct performances.
Each fairway features Cobra’s signature Baffler Hollow Split Rails, which increase flexion on the leading edge by 70 per cent to increase speed, while still providing strong turf interaction.
The RADSPEED fairways come in three families.
RADSPEED Fairway features a traditional shape with a balance of front and back Radial Weighting (16 g in the front and 7 g in the back) to deliver low spin with high launch and forgiveness.
A CNC Milled Infinity Face makes its way into the RADSPEED fairway for the first time, creating a face design that is up to five times more precise than hand-polished fairways.
Golfers have their choice of two premium aftermarket shafts: Fujikura Motore X F3 (Stiff and Reg) and Project X Even Flow Riptide (Lite flex). Available in two colourways: Gloss Black/Turbo Yellow and Matte Peacoat Blue/Arsenal Red.
RADSPEED Big Tour and Tour Fairways. Both feature 23 g of front-biased Radial Weighting (16g internal and a 7g front weight).
The Big Tour 3-wood features a slightly oversized profile, and a stronger loft setting, making it the fastest and lowest-spinning fairway in the lineup, and the perfect complement to the RADSPEED Driver, whether off the tee or on the fairway.
The Tour 5-wood features a compact profile for increased workability. Both are available in Matte Black/Turbo Yellow and come with a Fujikura Motore X F1 shaft (X, S).
RADSPEED Draw Fairway features 16 g of heel-biased internal Radial Weighting, a 7 g weight in the back to create draw-bias and medium-to-high ball flights, forgiveness and enhanced slice correction.
A CNC Milled Infinity Face is also included for precision and increasing the zone of maximum ball speed. Available in Gloss Black with Turbo Yellow colourway and a Project X Even Flow Riptide shaft (Stiff, Reg and Lite).
RADSPEED and RADSPEED Draw fairway models are available in 3W (14.5 o), 5W (18.5 o) and 7W (22.5 o), with the Big Tour available in a 3W (13.5 o) and the Tour model available in a 5W (17.5 o). The RADSPEED and RADSPEED Draw models are also available in women’s offerings in Elderberry/Gloss Black colourway.
RADSPEED hybrids ($299.99 each), which are available in both standard (Gloss Black/Turbo Yellow colourway) and ONE Length (Matte Black/Red/Blue/White) models, also utilize Cobra’s innovative Radial Weighting Technology with the emphasis on extreme front weighting for low spin, faster ball speed and increased distance.
A forged, high-strength steel face insert and Hollow Split Rails combine to create a lower CG location, higher launch angles, more distance, and enhanced versatility from a variety of lies.
The Baffler sole rails are a signature feature of Cobra’s fairways and hybrids and allow the club to glide effortlessly out of the fairway, tight lies, thick rough and even bunkers.
RADSPEED ONE Length is designed in a shorter set up (37.50 inches) that complements the ONE Length irons in a combo set. Both the standard RADSPEED hybrid — available in 2H (17 o ), 3H (19 o ), 4H (21 o ) and 5H (24 o ) — and ONE Length model — available in 3H (19 o), 4H (21 o), 5H (24 o) — come stock with UST Recoil 480 ESX premium shafts and Lamkin Crossline (58+) COBRA Connect Grips. The RADSPEED hybrid is also available in a women’s offering (4H, 5H, 6H and 7H) in a Gloss Black and Elderberry colourway.
The entire RADSPEED metalwood family is equipped with COBRA Connect Powered by Arccos, the smart golf system that helps players of all skill levels make smarter, data-driven decisions.
Electronically enabled sensors are embedded into the grip, automatically recording the distance and accuracy of every shot so golfers can track performance round-to-round and use analysis to improve practice sessions.
Golfers also have access to Arccos Caddie, which utilizes Artificial Intelligence to make better on-course decisions. With the purchase of any COBRA Connect club, golfers, at their request, will be sent additional sensors to screw in the rest of their clubs, delivering the full benefits of COBRA Connect technology.
