The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) has announced that the 2021 Canadian Golf Course Management Conference will be offered in a virtual environment.
According to CGSA president Darren Kalyniuk, the health and safety of members and stakeholders is of utmost importance and given the number of attendees at the annual gathering, a live event is not a viable option for March 2021.
“As we realized that the COVID-19 virus will be around into the new year, we knew that going virtual was the safest option for our annual conference,” said Kalyniuk.
“We polled our members and stakeholders and those results helped to further solidify our decision,” he said.
“We know that many of our members depend on the Canadian to engage in professional development to maintain their credentials to do their jobs. With the virtual event, we are able to continue to provide this service with a top-notch educational event,” he added.
The 2021 Canadian Golf Course Management Conference is currently being planned for the first week of March and attendees will be able to take advantage of the education, trade show and networking available from the comfort of their homes or offices.
The new format will welcome those who have previously been unable to attend the event in person due to the cost of travel or accommodation.
Further details of the event, including pricing and registration opening will be released in the coming weeks. If you would like to participate as a presenter, exhibitor or sponsor, contact the CGSA.
