Club Managers Announce Association Rebrand

March 10, 2022 By GNN

The Canadian Society of Club Managers has announced that it is changing its name to the Club Management Association of Canada (CMAC), effective immediately.

The rebranding is to better reflect both the evolution of the organization, as well as its vision for the future.

The new logo subtly captures the notion of connectedness, core to the vision of the organization, while offering a nod to the past by maintaining some of the elements of the CSCM logo.

“Our name has changed to more clearly represent our vision of inclusivity and diversity as we continue to grow,” said president, Jeff Germond, CCM.

“Our objective is to represent each one of our members, regardless of their role, tenure, or background in the club management industry,” he said.

“CMAC better captures our membership which includes professionals such as general managers, chief operating officers, assistant general managers, clubhouse managers, golf superintendents, chefs, controllers, food and beverage supervisors, golf professionals, as well as students interested in pursuing a career in club management,” added Germond.

CMAC lends itself to increased international recognition and alignment with Club Management Association of America, Club Managers Association of Europe, and Club Management Association of Southern Africa.

“2022 marks an important point in the evolution of our organization,” said chief executive officer, Suzanne Godbehere.

“The Club Management Association of Canada is a new name, but our purpose remains the same. No matter how we grow or change, we will continue to build and support great leaders by providing access to education and networking opportunities in the club management profession,” added Godbehere.
