One of the worst-kept secrets in the Canadian golf industry became official as GolfNorth Properties announced the acquisition of Wolf Creek Golf Resort in Ponoka, Alta.
The purchase, which includes the Old Course, the Links Course, and lodgings, saw GolfNorth take over operations on Wednesday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
““GolfNorth is very happy to have a foothold in Alberta and we wish to extend a warm welcome to members and players alike,” said Shawn Evans, president of GolfNorth.
“We’ve met with principal staff members,and want to welcome them to the GolfNorth family as well. We’re thrilled to have been given the opportunity to be the stewards of these two excellent golf courses for years to come,” said Evans.
Wolf Creek went into receivership last fall.
