Halifax Seed Requires Turf Technical Sales Rep

Halifax Seed, a family-owned, maritime business, is seeking a turf technical sales representative.

As a member of the Halifax Seed Team, you will provide expert level technical and sales support to customers in Atlantic Canada.

Halifax Seed prides itself on being solution oriented and supporting the turf and green industries. You will provide guidance and advice to customers based on their needs, while representing a variety of product classes.

Your experience in the industry will provide you with a unique insight to the special set of growing challenges our customers face on the Canadian East Coast, such as early freeze, winter rains and drought-ridden summers.

Your main roles will include working to understand customers’ product requirements on a seasonal basis, diagnose and solve turf and soil issues while building relationships.

Qualifications

Professional turf management experience in the fields of golf, sod growing or professional maintenance..

Turf Management designation or accreditation (considered an asset).

Valid driver’s licence as travel is required.

Enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills.

Detail oriented.

Team player.

Ability and willingness to learn and multi-task.

Flexibility in rapidly-changing environment.
