As the LPGA Tour season resumes on Friday at the Drive On Championship in Toledo, Brooke Henderson is seventh in the world rankings and Alena Sharp is 104th. Sharp will play in Toledo, but Henderson won’t restart until next month’s AIG Women’s Open at Royal Troon … Mike Weir won’t be alone in making his PGA Tour Champions debut as he’ll be grouped with Jim Furyk and K.J. Choi, who are also making their first starts at the Ally Challenge which gets underway Friday in Grand Blanc, Mich … Mackenzie Hughes will be first off the first tee at 11 a.m. local time on Thursday when the WGC FedEx St. Jude
Invitational gets underway in Memphis. Hughes’ group will be followed on the same tee 10 minutes later by Nick Taylor, who’s playing with Phil Mickelson, who he duelled with when he won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am earlier this season, and Keegan Bradley. Pendrith had three consecutive top three finishes before taking his week off.
