The Canadian golf industry lost a personable and knowledgeable sales person on Christmas Eve with the sudden passing of Gary Pollock.
He was 59.
Pollock’s experience in the sporting goods industry included many facets of business, including specialty retail ownership, speciality retail, green grass and mass merchandising.
Pollock spent the past 20 years at Tournament Sports, based in Waterloo, Ont., as vice president of sales and hard goods product manager. He also worked alongside his father Des for 14 years, owning and operating Nevada Bob’s Golf and Tennis in Brampton, Ont.
A private family service will be held with a summer celebration of life planned for this summer.
