Adam Hadwin has earned a spot in the field at the U.S. Open, June 17-20 at Torrey Pines in San Diego.
Hadwin parred his final hole and finished his second round of a 36-hole final qualifier at Brookside Golf and Country Club/The Lakes Golf and Country Club in Columbus, Ohio, with a five under 67.
That left Hadwin, who carded a 70 in his first round on Monday, in a tie for ninth at seven under at a venue where 16 spots in the field were available.
A storm delay of over three hours on Monday forced the carryover of play on Tuesday morning.
Ben Silverman missed qualifying by one shot as he tied for 18th at five under after scores of 69 and 70.
Hadwin became the fourth Canadian to make the field at the U.S. Open. Taylor Pendrith qualified on Monday at the Woodmont County Club in Rockville, Md. Corey Conners and Mackenzie Hughes were already in before Monday’s qualifiers.
