As The Dust Settles, Who’s Playing Where On The Men’s Tours This Week?

August 15, 2021 By GNN

Taylor Pendrith

After his rise from 131st to 92nd in the FedEx Cup standings at the Wyndham Championship, Roger Sloan is in the field for this week’s Northern Trust, the first FedEx Cup playoff event in New Jersey.

He’ll be joined by Canadians Corey Conners, who finished 28th in the FedEx Cup standings, Mackenzie Hughes (67th) and Adam Hadwin (96th).

Taylor Pendrith and Adam Svensson are in the field for this week’s Albertsons Boise Open, even though they have already assured themselves graduation to the PGA Tour.

Pendrith finished fifth on the Korn Ferry Tour’s regular season points list, while Svensson was 11th. The top 25 on that list are promoted to the PGA Tour.

The Boise Open is the first of three events in the Korn Ferry Tour Finals and both Pendrith and Svensson can improve their status on tour next season if they finish in a better position in the Finals than they did in the regular season points.

Also at Boise this week will be Stuart Macdonald, who finished 60th in regular season points. Macdonald will be seeking to finish in the top 25 in the Korn Ferry Tour Finals to move up to the PGA Tour next season.

That will also be the goal of a couple of guys who played on the PGA Tour, but finished outside the top 125 in the FedEx Cup standings this year.

Michael Gligic finished 145th in the FedEx Cup standings and David Hearn was 163rd and both will be gunning for that top 25 in the Korn Ferry Tour Finals to get back to the PGA Tour next season.

Nick Taylor also finished outside the top 125 in FedEx Cup standings, but still has an exemption from his win at Pebble Beach last year.
