PGA Tour rookie Adam Svensson of Surrey, B.C., opened 2019 in spectacular fashion, putting up seven birdies and an eagle in a bogey-free, nine-under 61 to take the lead at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
Svensson goes into Friday’s second round in Honolulu with a one-shot lead.
