Aaron Cockerill fired a bogey-free, seven-under 65 to open the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on Thursday.
That’s left Cockerill tied for seventh, four shots off the lead, going into Friday’s second round.
“I played really good. There was a score to be had out there. I hit the ball well and I had a couple two-putt birdies and made a couple 15-footers and just played smart. It was a good start,” said Cockerill.
