Cougar Collins of Caledon, Ont., had five consecutive birdies between the 14th and 18th holes at Wellington National Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., where he qualified for the Corales Puntacana Championship that gets underway March 23 in the Dominican Republic.
Collins finished the day with a five-under 67 to tie for second. He was one of four players to qualify for the PGA Tour event.
Michael Blair of Burlington, Ont, finished one shot out of qualifying for the Dominican Republic.
