Aaron Cockerill of Stony Mountain, Man., opened the Jonsson Workwear Open in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Thursday with a bogey-free, six-under 66.
That left Cockerill tied for seventh, two shots off the lead, with first round play suspended at the DP World Tour event.
