It isn’t official, but Adam Hadwin and Ben Silverman are in position to earn spots in the field at the U.S. Open, June 17-20 at Torrey Pines in San Diego.
Hadwin was tied for 10th at seven under at a 36-hole final qualifier at Brookside Golf and Country Club/The Lakes Golf and Country Club in Columbus, Ohio, where 16 spots in the field are available.
However, Hadwin still has one hole to play in his second round of the day due to a storm delay of over three hours on Monday. Play will resume Tuesday morning.
Hadwin was five under through 17 holes on The Lakes after opening on Brookside with a wild round that included four birdies, two bogeys, a double bogey and an eagle before finishing with a two under 70.
Silverman was tied for 16th at five under after finishing with scores of 69 and 70.
The leaderboard is here. GNN will update when play is complete.
