Albin Choi of Toronto had just one bogey as he fired a five under 66 to open the second stage of Korn Ferry Tour Q-school on Tuesday in Plantation, Fla.
Choi goes into Wednesday’s second round in a tie for second, one shot off the lead. The top 20 and ties in the 72 hole event at that location will move on to the final stage, Nov. 4-7 in Savannah, Ga.
In Albuquerque, N.M., Albert Pistorius of South Africa, but now living in Calgary, shot a four under 67 on Tuesday and is also tied for second, one shot off the lead, after the first round.
