Industry Notes: Golf Canada Names Director Of Diversity, Inclusion And Safe Sport And More

Golf Canada has introduced Laura Wilson as its new Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Safe Sport. She has served as executive director of the Ontario Para Network, the Coaches Association of Ontario and the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto. Among other duties, she will chair Golf Canada’s Diversity and Inclusion Alliance to help all individuals to foster an environment where all feel responsible for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion… The Stanley Thompson Series continues at Kawartha Golf and Country Club in Peterborough, Ont., on Monday, Aug. 9. Over 40 players have participated in two events so far this year, with 28 spots available for members of the Stanley Thompson Society available for the Kawartha event. Registration is $140, which includes lunch, a guest speaker, golf, cart and taxes.
