Michael Gligic, Adam Hadwin, David Hearn, Mackenzie Hughes, Roger Sloan and Nick Taylor are the Canadians in the field for this week’s Honda Classic … A year ago, Hughes finished solo second, one shot behind champ Sungjae Im, with Toronto’s Albin Choi as Im’s caddie … The Korn Ferry Tour resumes this week with Taylor Pendrith and Adam Svensson playing the Chitimacha Louisiana Open … The Symetra Tour gets its season underway this week at the inaugural Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic in Mesa, Az., where Maddie Szeryk, Maude-Aimee Leblanc, A.C. Tanguay, Jaclyn Lee, Brittany Marchand, Samantha Richdale and Rebecca Lee-Bentham are the Canadians in the field … The LPGA Tour is off until next week’s Kia Classic in Carlsbad, Calif. … After last week’s Ontario Golf Expo, the virtual Quebec Golf Expo begins Monday and runs until Sunday … Last week’s GNN Poll asked readers if they see virtual events, webinars and video conferencing being more important in their jobs once the COVID-19 pandemic ends than they were before the pandemic began? The majority, or 70 per cent of respondents said yes, with 30 per cent replying no … This week’s poll asks readers which will come first at the golf courses where they work or play? Opening the course for play, even if it is just for a few days, or the Masters? As of this writing, 56 per cent of respondents said opening day, with 44 per cent saying the Master will come first.
