When Canadian Golf Hall of Fame member Lorie Kane tees it up at the upcoming CP Women’s Open at Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, it will be for the 30th and final time.
“I’m not going to stop playing golf. I don’t like the word retire because how can you retire from something you absolutely love to do?” said the four-time LPGA Tour winner.
“The last little while has been, you know, a little up and down for me. I haven’t been playing regularly. It’s not that I wouldn’t want to come and play. It’s just that I can’t get myself, because of lack of competition, to a place where I feel I can compete,” said Kane.
A CP ambassador, Kane said she will continue to her charity work and support Brooke Henderson and young Canadian golfers starting out.
