Mike Weir tied for second at last year’s U.S. Senior Open in Omaha … Michael Gligic, Mackenzie Hughes, Roger Sloan and Adam Svensson are at the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Ct. … Albin Choi, David Hearn and Stuart Macdonald are at the Live and Work in Maine Open on the Korn Ferry Tour … Selena Costabile is the only Canadian in the field for this week’s Epson Tour event, the Island Resort Championship in Harris, Mich. … Taylor Pendrith, who has been dealing with a rib injury, will make his return to the PGA Tour at next week’s John Deere Classic in Silvis, Ill., according to agent Elliott Kerr … Peter Ridout, who was serving as business development manager for the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association, has resigned due to health reasons. Recruitment for the vacant position will take place this fall … Akash Patel has joined the PGA of Canada as managing director of championships and events. Patel will work with championship manager Matt Mueller to conduct the association’s five national championships, including this week’s 100th playing of the BetRegal PGA Championship of Canada. Patel will also assist with the operations of the RBC PGA Scramble … Last week’s GNN Poll asked readers if the LIV Tour had their attention as fans of golf, or do they just look at it as a curiosity due to recent headlines.
