Notes: Four Canadians Tee It Up At Senior PGA Championship, Tee Times And More

David Morland IV is one of four Canadians playing this week’s Senior PGA Championship

PGA Tour Champions will hold its second major of the season this week at the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship in Benton Harbor, Mich., where Kevin Baker will be the first Canadian out in Thursday’s first round. Baker will start on the first tee at 7:52 a.m. local time, followed by David Morland IV on the 10th tee at 8:03 a.m. Stephen Ames starts at 1:45 p.m. on the 10th, followed by Mike Weir, also on the 10th, at 1:56 p.m. Those tee times are here … After winning the Regions Tradition earlier this month, Steve Stricker has withdrawn from this week’s Senior PGA Championship after testing positive for Covid-19. Stricker, a former Canadian Tour player, was hospitalized twice last fall for a mystery ailment that caused him to lose 25 pounds … Nick Taylor will be the first Canadian off the tee in Thursday’s first round of the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Tx. Taylor will start his round at 12:23 p.m. local time. All tee times are here … This week’s GNN Poll asks readers with Covid-19 easing its grip on businesses, how often will they take part in virtual meetings, conferences, etc., going forward. Early results show 57 per cent of respondents said occasionally and 34 per cent said very often, with nine per cent saying never.
