Notes: Manitoba Open Named Tournament Of The Year, Head Pro Wanted In Whistler And More

has announced that the CentrePort Canada RailPark Manitoba Open is its 2022 Tournament of the Year. The tournament, which dates back to 1919 and played as a PGA Tour Canada event from 2013-2019, before returning in 2022. The tournament recorded the highest charitable donation amount ($115,000) of any tournament in 2022 … The Fairmont Chateau Whistler in British Columbia is seeking a head professional. The information is here … Early bird exhibitor pricing ends on Friday, Dec.16 for the Calgary and Edmonton consumer shows, run by the PGA of Alberta. The Calgary show runs March 18-19 at the BMO Centre (Hall D) and the Edmonton show will be held April 1-2 at the Edmonton Expo Centre (Hall A) … This week’s GNN Poll asks readers if they are less inclined to go to the PGA Show in Orlando in January than in previous years. As of this writing, 51 per cent of respondents said they are less inclined to go, 24 per cent said they’re looking forward to it and 25 per cent said they’ve never attended the Orlando show … Next week’s poll asks readers if they will take more than a week off during the holidays without working.
