The WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play event takes place this week in Austin, Tx., where Corey Conners and Mackenzie Hughes are the Canadians in the field … The WGC event is a Wednesday start this week … Also being played on the PGA Tour this week is the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic, where Michael Gligic, David Hearn, Taylor Pendrith, Roger Sloan, Adam Svensson and Nick Taylor will tee it up … Mike Weir started the week as an alternate. PGA Tour Champions is off until the beginning of April, when the Rapiscan Systems Classic will be played in Biloxi, Miss. … On the Korn Ferry Tour, Stuart Macdonald will play the Lake Charles Championship in Lake Charles, La. … After a week off, the LPGA Tour schedule resumes this week at the JTBC Classic in Carlsbad, Calif., where Maude-Aimee Leblanc is the lone Canadian in the field, although Maddie Szeryk begins the week as first alternate … The Epson Tour is in Beaumont, Calif., this week for the IOA Championship, where Selena Costabile, Jaclyn Lee and Szeryk are listed to play … Last week’s GNN Poll asked readers how the golf course where they work came through winter. The majority, or 49 per cent of respondents said it was too early to tell, 30 per cent said the golf course was in great shape 14 per cent said there was some damage and seven per cent said there was plenty of damage … This week’s poll asks readers how the 2022 golf season – with inflation etc. – will compare to the previous two pandemic years from a business perspective? As of this writing, 36 per cent of respondents said this year will be more challenging, 36 per cent said equally challenging and 28 per cent said less challenging.
