Notes: Who Moves On, Who Doesn’t, In FedEx Cup Playoffs, Korn Ferry Tour Finals And More

Corey Conners, Mackenzie Hughes, Adam Hadwin and Taylor Pendrith will move on to this week’s BMW Championship, the second event in the FedEx Cup playoffs. The season ended for Nick Taylor and Adam Svensson at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis on the weekend … No Canadian earned PGA Tour status through the top 25 on the Korn Ferry Tour regular season points list and no Canadian finished 26th-75th to qualify for the three-event Korn Ferry Tour Finals, which get underway this week with 25 additional cards available. Two Canadians will participate. Michael Gligic (135th) and Roger Sloan (167) qualified for the Korn Ferry Tour Finals after finishing 126th-200th on the FedEx Cup standings … The PGA of Canada has announced that it’s membership has gone over 3,800 for the first time … Mike Weir is the lone Canadian at this week’s PGA Tour Champions event, the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open in Endicott, N.Y. … The LPGA Tour is off until next week’s CP Women’s Open at Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club … The Epson Tour also has a week off with the next event being the Circling Raven Championship in Worley, Id., Aug. 26-28 … Last week’s GNN Poll asked readers if their members/clients are spending as much this year in the pro shop/food and beverage as they normally would in other years. The majority, or 53 per cent of respondents said no, with 47 per cent saying yes … This week’s poll asks if rising interest rates and inflation this summer have caused readers to move back the start of their retirements from the golf industry.
