Playoff Will Decide Who Gets Direct Entry Into RBC Canadian Open

May 18, 2022 By GNN

Brendan Leonard of Cambridge, Ont., and David Li Sheman of Aurora, Ont., will play off for direct entry into the RBC Canadian Open on Thursday morning at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley in Caledon. Ont.

Each fired a six-under 66 to tie for top spot at the Ontario regional qualifier on Wednesday before play was called due to darkness. If the field exceeds 100 players, the winner earns direct entry into next month’s Canadian Open, to be played at St. George’s Golf and Country Club in Toronto.

The rest of the qualifiers will participate in final RBC Canadian Open qualifying on Monday, June 6, at Oakdale Golf and Country Club.

Results from Wednesday’s qualifying are here.
