Nick Taylor soared to the top of the leaderboard at the Sony Open in Hawaii on Thursday, when he shot an eight under 62 that included a chip in for eagle on the par five 18th hole.
Taylor, who started the day in a tie for 23rd, takes a two shot lead into the weekend. He’s 12 under at the midway polnt after a second round that included a single bogey.
Mike Weir fired a 66 to move into a tie for 35th, along with Mackenzie Hughes, who shot a 69. Both are at six under.
