Tiger Woods is described as being lucky to be alive after the SUV he was driving Tuesday morning crashed into a median, rolled and ended up on its side in suburban Los Angeles.
Woods, who had to be extricated from the vehicle, was rushed to hospital, where he underwent surgery for multiple leg injuries. The Los Angeles Times was reporting Tuesday evening that Woods suffered a shattered ankle and two leg fractures, one of which was compound.
As news of the accident broke, reaction was swift.
