Edmonton’s Wil Bateman bogeyed his final hole to miss a playoff on Sunday at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Panama Championship, eventually won by American Pierceson Coody.
Bateman finished the day with a one-under 69.
At two under through all four rounds, Bateman tied for fourth, the second time in three starts since joining the tour full time that he finished in the top five. He also tied for fourth at the season-opening Bahamas Great Exuma Classic.
Bateman joined the tour this season after winning the overall points title to take the Fortinet Cup while playing for PGA Tour Canada last year.
