Tour Roundup: Ames Moves To T8 At Charles Schwab Cup Playoff Event

Stephen Ames had just one bogey in firing a four-under 68 in Saturday’s second round at the Dominion Energy Charity Classic in Richmond, Va., the first event in the Charles Schwab Cup playoffs.

At seven under, Ames is tied for eighth, five shots behind leader Jerry Kelly.

PGA Tour

Corey Conners is tied for 18th at six under with one round to go at the CJ Cup in Ridgeland, S.C.

Conners finished Saturday’s third round with a two-under 69, while Adam Hadwin shot a 74 and is tied for 42nd at one under.

Rory McIlroy leads at 13 under.

DP World Tour

Aaron Cockerill shot his second consecutive one-under 70 in the third round of the Mallorca Golf Open in Spain, where he’s tied for 43rd.

Cockerill, who is on the verge of maintaining his status on the DP World Tour for 2023, is five under going into Sunday’s final round.

LPGA Tour

Maude-Aimee Leblanc shot an even par 72 at the BMW Ladies Championship on Saturday in South Korea that left her tied for 76th with one round to go.
