Brooke Henderson fired a bogey-free, four-under 67 to open the ShopRite LPGA Classic in Gallaway, N.J. on Friday.
“I think I gave myself a lot of really good looks all day. I hit a lot of greens and had a lot of birdie putts. Those few holes I was able to capitalize on them, few others I wish I would’ve gotten today, so hopefully get them (Saturday),” said Henderson, who is tied for third, two shots off the lead.
“It was fun. I was just trying to make as many birdies as I could. No bogeys on card, so that’s also a bonus. Hopefully, (Saturday) can go out and continue similar game plan, try and make some birdies, and see what happens,” she said.
