Aaron Cockerill had just one bogey in a six-under 65 in Friday’s second round of the Portugal Masters on Friday.
Cockerill goes into the weekend in a tie for 13th at nine under, four shots off the lead.
He entered the Portugal event in 112th place on the DP World Tour rankings and is aiming to finish in Portugal within the top 117 in order to keep his playing privileges. He’s currently projected to finish 103rd.

PGA Tour
Nick Taylor shot a three-under 68 in Friday’s second round of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
With second round play suspended due to darkness, Taylor is tied for 34th at eight under, six shots behind leader Ben Crane. He’ll be the lone Canadian playing the weekend.

LIV Golf
The second round of the LIV Golf Team Championship at Trump National Doral in Miami will consist of 4 Aces GC vs. Cleeks GC., Crushers GC vs. Stinger GC, Fireballs GC vs. Punch GC and Smash GC vs. Majesticks GC.
The teams compete in three matches – two singles and one foursomes – with all players on each team competing. Each match is worth one point and the teams that win two points advance to Sunday’s championship finals, which will be a stroke-play format with all scores counting.
