Tour Roundup: Conners In A Traffic Jam Near Top Of RBC Heritage Leaderboard

June 20, 2020 By GNN

Corey Conners had a piece of the lead on his front nine during Saturday’s third round of the RBC Heritage, but he goes into Sunday’s finale with a two-shot deficit.

Conners had just one bogey with three birdies on the front nine on Saturday, but had two of each on the back to finish the day with a two-under 69.

At 13 under through three rounds, Conners is tied for eighth. He’ll have plenty of company as he jockeys for position at the top of the leaderboard on Sunday.

Not only is Conners in an eight-way tie at 13 under, there’s a four-way tie for the lead at 15 under and a three-way tie for second at 14 under. Six more players are a shot behind Conners at 12 under

Mackenzie Hughes is 10 under and tied for 28th after he fired a 69 on Saturday.

Adam Hadwin is tied for 36th at nine under after his 67 on Saturday.

Taylor Pendrith finished the King and Bear Classic in St. Augustine, Fla., with a three-under 69 that left him tied for 14th.

Pendrith finished all four rounds at 20 under. He was the only Canadian playing the weekend.

The leaderboard is here.
