Michael Gligic goes into Friday’s second round of the Mayakoba Golf Classic in a tie for fifth after he opened with a bogey free, four under 67 in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
Gligic is two shots off the lead.

Aaron Cockerill shot a one under 71 and is tied for 22nd after the first round of the South African Open in Sun City, South Africa.

High school player Tillie Claggett of Calgary opened her first LPGA Tour event with an 83 and goes into Friday’s second round of the Volunteers of America Classic near Houston in 96th place.
The first rounded had yet to be completed when it was called due to darkness.
