Making his first PGA Tour start of 2021, Taylor Pendrith finished the first round of the Puerto Rico Open with a bogey free, six under 66 that left him tied for second, one shot off the lead.
Pendrith is currently second on the Korn Ferry Tour’s regular season points list. The top 25 at the end of the season graduate to the PGA Tour.
In his first Korn Ferry Tour start of the season last week, Pendrith tied for 23rd at the Lecom Suncoast Classic following a 2020 season in which he had six top-10 finishes, including five top threes, and was runner-up four times.

WGC-Workday Classic at The Concession
Mackenzie Hughes, the lone Canadian in the field, shot a first round, one over 73 and is tied for 44th in Bradenton, Fla.

Mackenzie Tour Qualifying Tournament
Colombia’s Camilo Aguado holds on to a five shot lead despite his round being cut short on the 14th hole due to darkness at a Mackenzie Tour Qualifying Tournament at the Club at Weston Hills’ Players Course in Weston, Fla., on Thursday.
Aguado was three under through 13 when play was called and 18 under for the tournament.
Top Canadian is Raoul Ménard of Ange-Gardien, Que.
The player finishing this event atop the leaderboard receives exempt membership for the entire 2021 season, while second through sixth finishers will be exempt through a mid-season reshuffle. Those finishing seventh through 25th plus ties will receive conditional membership.
