Brooke Henderson and Maddie Szeryk go into the final round of the season’s first major in a tie for 23rd, each at two under after the first three rounds.
The day started off on a positive note for Henderson, who closed out the second round with a birdie that left her in a tie for fourth, two shots off the lead. The second round had been called due to darkness the previous day with Henderson on her final hole of the day.
However, Henderson’s third round got off to a rocky start as she had two bogeys and a triple bogey in her first four holes before her first birdie of the day on the eighth hole.
She added another birdie on 15, but bogeyed the 17th to finish the day with a four-over 76.
Szeryk shot a 70.
Americans Allisen Corpuz and Angel Yin lead at 10 under.
Maude-Aimee Leblanc missed the cut.
