Rookie Mito Pereira put up three birdies in his final six holes in Saturday’s third round to finish with a one-under 69 and take a three-shot lead going into the final round of the PGA Championship at Southern Hills in Tulsa.
At nine under after the first three rounds, the Chilean is three shots up on Matt Fitzpatrick and Will Zalatoris.
Tiger Woods withdrew after shooting a 79 on Saturday when he was was visibly in pain in Saturday’s cold conditions.
Adam Hadwin shot a 75 on Saturday and, at nine over, is tied for 70th.

Albin Choi shot a five over 77 that left him tied for 74th at the AdventHealth Championship in Kansas City.

With second round play called due to dangerous weather in the area at the IOA Golf Classic in Longwood, Fla., Rebecca Lee-Bentham was one under through her first six holes.
That left her tied for 14th at five under, six shots off the lead, when play was called.
