World No. 1 Luke Donald, Masters champ Charl Schwartzel and British Open winner Louis Oosthuizen highlight a list of players confirmed for the RBC Canadian Open being played July 21-24 at Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club in Vancouver.
Defending Canadian Open champ Carl Pettersson also joins a field that includes Matt Kuchar, Paul Casey, Anthony Kim, Sean O’Hair, Ben Crane, Lucas Glover, Hunter Mahan, two-time Open champ Jim Furyk, Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Justin Leonard, Tim Clark, Charlie Hoffman, Ryan Moore, Ricky Barnes and Brandt Snedeker.
“We’re a month out from this year’s event and very pleased to welcome this tremendous mix of emerging talent and notable PGA Tour veterans to the 2011 RBC Canadian Open,” said tournament director Bill Paul.
The field will also include 13 tour winners from this year, including Jonathan Byrd, Jhonattan Vegas, D.A. Points, Michael Bradley, Gary Woodland, Martin Laird, Brendan Steeler, Keegan Brdley and Harrison Frazar.
