The Stan Smith Golf Shoe, a spikeless sneaker built to be sustainable, is being introduced in a unique green and white colourway by adidas.
Building upon the new PRIMEGREEN upper made with recycled materials as part of the company mission to end plastic waste, this version is also waterproof (one-year warranty) to help keep golfers dry both on and off the course.
For comfort’s sake, PU cushioning in targeted areas in the midsole to go alongside a PU die-cut sockliner. The adiwear spikeless outsole that features lugs inspired by the shoe’s original sole design, offers added traction for various course conditions.
“When we were talking about bringing this shoe into golf, the original white and green colourway was a must-have as part of our planning,” said Masun Denison, global footwear director for adidas Golf.
“The Stan Smith silhouette is known throughout the world for being so versatile from a fashion standpoint, so we’re excited to give golfers that same style and versatility for when they head out to the course, now in a more sustainable way,” he said.
As an ode to the traditions of the past, also also included a removable white kiltie to give players another way to wear their shoes and give off some added flair for their round.
This white and green colourway of the Stan Smith Golf Shoe will be available at select retailers across Canada, beginning Saturday, May 1. The retail price is $150 Cdn.
